What is SE2 Plugin Loader?

SE2 Plugin Loader is a free Windows program that installs, updates and starts client plugins for Space Engineers 2. It reads the plugin catalog from se2pl.yellow51.dev.

Is it safe?

Plugins run native .NET code with the same rights as the game. To lower the risk, authors cannot upload binaries. The site builds every plugin from a pinned GitHub commit after a moderator reviews that source, and the loader checks the signed catalog and the SHA-256 of each download. Review is best effort, so install only plugins you trust.

How are plugins reviewed?

An author submits a GitHub repository, a full commit SHA and a project path. A reviewer reads the source at that exact commit and approves it. Only then does the build service compile it. A reviewer checks the build result and publishes it in a separate step.

Where do plugins install?

The loader installs to C:\Program Files (x86)\yellow51\SE2PL by default and keeps plugin files in its own folder, not in the game folder.

How do I uninstall?

Open Windows Settings, then Apps, then Installed apps, find SE2 Plugin Loader and choose Uninstall. Space Engineers 2 itself is not changed.
